Excavations of round houses on Percy Rigg, Kildale were carried out between 1962 and 1968 by Roland Close and Raymond Hayes. In 2019 an excavation of House 2 was undertaken by members of the Hidden Valleys Community Project. A link to the published paper on the 2019 excavation is given below.
